Since 1984, MMI Realty Services, Inc. has successfully leased and managed some of the premier retail and office properties in California, Hawaii, and Oregon. John Mendelsohn, Chairman

John began his real estate career after graduating from the University of Southern California School of Business Administration. Since 1971, he has provided leasing services for a variety of major retail and office properties, and brings to the MMI team important connections and leverage. He is a founding shareholder of MMI, and retains overall responsibility for the company’s asset management and leasing coordination.

For the last 30 years, John has been responsible for operating and personally spearheading the leasing for two regional shopping centers totaling more than 2 million square feet; and a 30-story, twin tower, office property in Honolulu, Bishop Square — bridging a distance of 2,500 miles with phone calls, frequent visits, and strong management and leasing personnel to ensure consistency and effectiveness. From the start of the company’s involvement, MMI’s Hawaii properties have remained at full occupancy at all times.

Mark Babin, President

Mark is a certified public accountant with a degree in business administration and is MMI’s President and Principal Broker. He started out his career in public accounting at KPMG Peat Marwick in Honolulu and has been with MMI since its inception in 1984. As MMI grew and expanded Mark progressed from controller to Chief Financial Officer and currently serves as President.

He is responsible for the overall operations of MMI and directs the management, operations, financial and construction matters concerning the properties managed by MMI. Mark also oversees corporate planning, administration, property accounting systems, internal controls, reporting, strategic financial planning and budgeting.
